Welcome to Cover Wars where covers go into a show down and you are the one to pick a winner. Today we have The Scarlet Dagger by
First we have the original cover when this book was only in e-book format:
Next we have this one, the cover that was made because the first book couldn't print well for the paperback edition:
For those of you that don't know this book you should give it a go this is a fantastic read! to know more about it feel free to check my review of The Scarlet Dagger by Krystle Jones. Now lets talk about the covers, they are both great and tell you something about the story, the difference is the element that dominates in both of them in the first version we see more sweetness and confusion from a girl that has venture to the unsafe of her world, outside from the safety of her district.
In the second cover we find the strength the heroine portrays when times get though during the story, but if you look closely you see that the girl means busyness and that if you think of her as a weakling she will blast of the cover, yes not pop-out but BLAST OFF the cover and kick your derrière. But fear not as though as Sloan is she would never become aggressive for no reason at all, so we are safe.
What do you think? What cover do you love more? Does one of them "speaks" to you? Please share your thought with us, for every comment a fairy gets her wings (the good type of fairies so worry not).
I'm definitely diggin' the pb version way more. I wouldn't have even looked twice at the eBook one.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it, and to hear that the paperback cover got so much love :D
ReplyDeleteI like the pb version, a little bit more. I think it's the fierceness of the girl on that cover, that I am drawn to.
ReplyDeleteYes! it does show how strong she can be and that was the word I was looking for while writing this 'fierceness'.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing :D
I love the E-book version! It caught my eye first. The paperback book is not bad just not as visually pleasing as the other! :D
ReplyDeleteI know! both covers are beautiful but there is always one that is more in tune with what we like.
