Synopsis
It is the second millennium B.C.: The time of the lost city of Atlantis and the curse of Tutankhamen. There are no Greek or Roman gods, only elemental gods of land and sea and a prophecy claiming that one boy, with the help of three animal allies, will destroy the world he knows in order to save his sister and his life.
Review
I love this story it keeps a hold of you even when you are not reading it, it makes you dream about their customs, dolphins and wish the characters reach their happy endings.
Another element that was unexpected yet very welcomed was that their traditions and culture are like this invisible character that lets you get a better grip of this world and lead to a better understanding of who the characters are and the decisions they take.
Even thought this book is set in the bronze age I still like to believe it was done in another world where all the magic and fantasy experienced are real that way it feels as real to us as the characters sense their world.
This book doesn't really tell you what or how the world of Hylas and Pirra is going to change for ever, so if you like fast answers this might not be the books for you. But if you like adventure, action and survival then I do believe you will enjoy Gods and Warriors by Michelle Paver.
