Synopsis
After learning a out the fey the hard way Ethan Chase avoids making contact with them, tries to hide his secret... He can see them. Sadly the creatures that know he can see them cause mischief on his behave and have endangered his live several times.
His game is simple, pretend not to see them, don't get attached, always be prepared and try not to upset his mom. 
Strange thins start to happen to the fey in town and what seems to be a new type of fey appears and tries to push Ethan away from their affairs, sadly Ethan found a "friend" with a half breed Phouka and can't stay away. Which ends up with him and a noisy classmate in a quest to look for his sister Megan Chase the queen of the Iron Fey.

Review
I liked this book, it has tempt me to learn more about the Iron Fey series, so expect more from Julie Kagawa in this blog. 
Now I did like this book, the story was interesting  it was obvious when you where meeting an important character from the Iron Fey universe, you could see the reasons behind Ethan's actions (even if it can be a little too much at times) and even understand Kenzie who can come across as a noisy brat from time to time. But it felt like there was something missing.
I can't quiet put my finger on it but there where times where the story seemed to urge more excitement then what I was experiencing, the descriptions weren't the problem I could fully imagine everything that was happening around, even if I understood the characters I can't say a fell in love with them so maybe that is part of it? maybe because of that me and this book didn't have a great connection even if I can appreciate it's a good book?

1- If you knew you were getting amnesia and you could leave yourself a note to re-read just one book or series which one would it be?
I mentioned this series in the guest post I did for Lil a few days ago but The Grey Wolf Series by Quinn Loftis has got to be one of my favourite of all time. It’s the only series I have given every book 5 stars (I think), and it's also one of the only series to make me actually laugh out loud.

2- What has been the review that you've had the most fun writing?
Definitely my review for Amy A. Bartol’s Incendiary (Premonition Series Book 5). I had waited for the book for so long and read it in one sitting (I paid for it the next day at work). I was trying so hard not to completely, biasly gush about it and re-wrote it a few times, but in the end just gave up and let it out!

3- Tell us a little bit about your book crush, literary significant other or how ever you wish to call it ;)
Right now, its Xavier from Incendiary but in the last year or so I’ve majorly crushed on Travis Maddox (Beautiful Disaster, Jamie McGuire) and Jake Wethers (The Mighty Storm, Samantha Towle). I wouldn't say no to a bit of Gideon Cross, either!

4- Tell us what ,in your opinion, sets your blog apart from the others
My blog is more just a place for me to document what I’ve read and to help out aspiring authors by reading and writing about their work. I think a lot of bloggers have got too caught up in the ‘meme culture’ that's happening at the moment. There are one or two memes that i’ll take part in like ‘Its Monday! What are you reading?’, but not because I want the traffic, more because I want to share what I’m reading and see what everyone else is, too!

5- Can you tell us a little about your blog schedule? what can we expect to see in your blog during the week.
I haven’t been blogging to too long but I tend to get out a review a week, providing I’m reading something I’m allowed to review, I’ve been reading a lot of drafts at the moment. I’ll do a meme if I’ve got something to share and sometimes I’ll get a post up about what I’m doing. I don't have a set schedule as such, just post up about what i’m reading or writing at the time.

6- Do you eat when you read? if so tell us a little about what snacks you like to have.
Ha I like this question. When I get stuck in a book, I really get stuck in. As in, I won't put it down for any reason. Sometimes I’ll just forget to eat in general (I do this a lot when I get on a writing roll) but most of the time I’ll sit with my dinner on my lap and my book in my face. It’s terrible. I don’t tend to snack in general so if I do eat, it'll be a full plate of food, which will go cold most of the time because I’ve forgotten about it. Oh, I do drink a lot of tea and coffee when I’m reading though. I force myself to go and make one periodically, just to give my eyes a break.

7- Tell us about the most random character you have ever read. Did you love the character or hated it?
I recently read The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa, and theres a character in that called Zeke who I really disliked. Actually, I disliked Allie quite a lot too, which is a shame because the storyline was fantastic. I felt like Zeke was such a strange character to add in. The first half of the book was completely different from the second because of his addition and I didn’t like that at all.

8- Favorite and least favorite thing about blogging
Favourite thing is probably being able to get everything out of my head and to have them read by an audience that really appreciates the genre and shares my passion for reading and writing. It’s also very cool to get talking to a lot of authors and aspiring writers, to me thats what this is all about.
Least favourite thing... is a tricky one. Theres nothing I particularly dislike about blogging, except maybe what I just mentioned about memes, I’ve seen a lot of blogs that are purely meme’s, it’s quite irritating.

9- Most emotional or passionate review.
Probably this one of Surrender (The Ferryman and the Flame, Book 1)  by Rhiannon Paille. I felt like I was saying ‘This is GREAT and this bit is GREAT and this bit is even GREATER!’. It’s a fab book, hard not to gush!

10- Have you ever met any of your favorite authors? If so, could you please share your experience.
Noo I haven’t! Rhiannon Paille added me as a friend on Facebook which I was pretty chuffed with and theres a few that I talk to on Twitter occasionally. It seems like a lot of authors are US based and I’m in the UK so I can’t go to conferences or anything to meet people :(

The Goal: To finally read 12 books from your “to be read” pile (within 12 months).

1. Each of these 12 books must have been on your bookshelf or “To Be Read” list for AT LEAST one full year. This means the book cannot have a publication date of 1/1/2012 or later (any book published in the year 2011 or earlier qualifies, as long as it has been on your TBR pile – I WILL be checking publication dates). Caveat: Two (2) alternates are allowed, just in case one or two of the books end up in the “can’t get through” pile.

If it goes well, maybe I’ll keep this format for future years.

P.S. Some of this books may not have been in my TBR Pile in Goodreads but they have been in my shelfs for a while now and deserve to be read.
