{Review} Revamped by Ada Adams

Series: Angel Creek #1
Publication Date: February 20th, 2012
Publisher: CreateSpace
ISBN-13: 9781470068981

Synopsis
Vampires are not only made, a special few are born that way. Meet Dawn a nineteen year old vampire who has lived a sheltered life, now after working as a trainer for the Scarlet House program for new vampires, now after being handed her first real assignment outside of the Scarlet House and Dawn feels the need to prove herself.
Revamping a group in Angels Creek was the safest and easiest assignment anyone could get, but after meeting her own little group of vamps in need of revamping before they are able to protect their own little town, Dawn will be put to the test, both mentally and physically.
Review
The way Sebastian makes a really good love interest kind of makes me disappointed in Dawn I don't feel that she is the type of character (yet!) that one could hand over Sebastian and be happy for their happy ending.
I would have also loved to hear more from the gang, it's interesting how this peculiar group that sounds so dysfunctional could have gotten to work together, I'm not saying that it sucks all the life out of the story, I'm trying to say that some of that experience and growth as a group would have enriched the story and make it much more enjoyable.
The way this story twist and turns makes it like no other vampire story I've ever read, if you my dear reader are looking for something new and fresh in the vampires scene this might just be the book for you.

  1. Thank you for your review. Your brought up some great points! :) I definitely don't think that Dawn is "there" yet in terms of walking off into the sunset (thank goodness vamps in "ReVamped" can actually do that!) with Sebastian - or any other guy. Since this is a series, I didn't wish to rush the romance. I really don't want Dawn's journey to getting to that point to be too easy/insta-love, as I believe it will be more meaningful (whoever she ends up with) if it's actually developed and worked for. I also have a feeling not many readers are willing to hand over Sebastian! ;) I'm so glad that you want to see more group experiences! The sequel focuses a lot on the secondary characters, as they have become such a large part of Dawn's life and the story. Thanks again for reading!
