Synopsis
Greg had become the master of the Pitsburg high school social system, he didn't get punched by the jocks nor was he pestered by the church kids and for that he was glad. On his free time he and his friend Earl became actors, directors and writers for their movies, and adaptation or not they put their heart and soul to them.
Greg's quiet school life changes when he befriends Rachel, a girl he used to know from Hebrew school who is now battling against leukemia.
Review
I feel this book is a good read, specially when you want to read something that feels fresh, this might just be the book that takes you out of your reading routine. Even though Greg warns us from the begging this in not a book of happy endings, the way he's telling the story you expect that everything will turn out alright, you may think something like "a book that makes me laugh so much can't end in a sad way" or things like that.
Greg's voice brings a refreshing touch to the story that makes it both entertaining and interesting, you can sympathize or not with what he says but he will at the very least draw a smile in your face, if it doesn't have you lol-ing already.
Character development is not so big, but I think this is one of the elements that gives this story such a strong human quality, humans don't change all that much nor are they faithful to   big changes, but small changes and realizations about ones life are things we can all relate to and is something this book brings.
I know its already written but it feels it should be typed again this might be the book that takes you out of your reading routine so please give it a try.

  2. Well it's not like it's none existing, it's more like normal people they change gradually, it was one of the aspects I liked from me and Earl and the dying girl.
And thank you for the follow :)

  3. I loved this book! So much cursing... haha!
I thought it was not that much of an emotional book which sometimes we just need because I know I read too many emotional books.
