One day she can't take it anymore and she runs outside in the middle of the night, she ends up saving what she thought was a big dog but ends up being a boy around her age, this mysterious boy with yellow eyes that leaves Fer with doubts of who she is and starts to question how much her grandmother really knows about the parents she never knew.
Fer is soon called into this other world and thirsty for answers she follows, once in the new world she feels like she finally belongs, but she also feels that there is something wrong with the land.
While Fer try's to learn as much as possible of this land full of magic, she learns that the wrongness of the lands is affecting everyone that follows the lady of the land. And the desperation from the lady to keep Fer from asking to much questions and the lady's efforts to bring Fer to her side, push Fer into questioning everything and finding out the truth about her parents and this strange land where magic is real and oaths hold true power, even more. But is she ready to know the answers?

Review
This is a book that both adults and kids can enjoy, for the adults I feel this book brings out the little kid in you and the story is interesting and leaves the kids with a good message. Sarah Prineas creates a world that is unique, easy to imagine, read and get lost in.
As I read this book it brought up that sense of curiosity that felt child like, a need to know what happens next, how Fer is going to fend against the latest threat or lie that comes her way.
Honestly I don't have kids, but I feel like it would be the perfect book to share with the little ones, in my case my little cousins. I can't wait to discover what other things Sarah Prineas has written nor can I wait to see how the Winterling series will turn out.
