Synopsis
Katelyn McBride was really happy with her life, she knew what she wanted to do with her future, had nice friends and a really good best friend, a mother that supported her and did what she loved to do, but tragedy strikes Katelyn and she is forced to move from sunny California to the middle of nowhere Arkansas.
Strange things seem to be happening in Wolf Springs, like the weird curfew hours and the girls that are going missing in the woods. Katelyn finds herself in a strange position as she befriends both Trick and Cordelia two people that don't seem to get along but seem to be keeping secrets of their own.
Review
This book is really well narrated, you can really get lost in it. The main character is not one you get bored with and you see her grow in front of you, ok maybe not all the time making the wisest decisions, but she learns from her mistakes and keeps moving forward with the story, not getting stuck in the past or making a drama out of thin air.
The only issue is that you first have to read throw Twilight-land, the beginning of Twilight and Unleashed in my opinion are really similar, my brain kept telling me to go read or do something else because we had already seen this, about 70 pages in everything changed the plot for this book became clearer and we left Twilinght-land for good.
This book is a really good introduction for a series, what I feel will be the main plot isn't really all out there with Unleashed It gives you the information you need to make sense of it all,  but with some loose ends that make you feel unsure of where everything stands, which just makes you want to see what direction will it all take on the second book. The story sounds original and kept me making conspiracy theory's about what was going to happen next but it seems that with this book it was a game I wasn't meant to win, which was just wonderful.

In conclusion if you get past the Twilightish introduction of the book you will find the joy of reading this book and will be wondering what will Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguié prepare for us in her next installment of the Wolf Springs Chronicles.
