Synopsis
Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days*, and she has been locked up for at least 3 years, all because of an accident a crime she didn't know she could commit. Now she lives locked up in a mental institution while in the outside world people die everyday from food poisoning and food in general is really hard to find, animals are disappearing, the weather isn't what it used to.
The world is to busy falling apart and people trying to make it day by day to care about what has happened to Juliette. Or so she thought, her world changes dramatically when The Reestablishment finds her and decides she could the that strong weapon that can quite out the rebels, but will Juliette be willing to cooperate? will she be able to settle in a comfortable life where she needs to torture people? will she do all of that for the possibility of a friendship?
I liked this book, the way Juliette see the world is different and sort of poetic and the narration really works for this book, there are some word scratch over, you can still read them easily but it tells you so much about Juliette, how she really thinks, we get to see those thought that come at you first but you know you shouldn't think that way or they past the barrier of what you think you think.
This story may not be action packed but I didn't find a moment where I had (or wanted) to take a pause The way this story can't seem to get boring and the way you can't help but sympathize with the main character. I can wait for the next installment to come, but the fact that I'm in no hurry to read the next part doesn't mean I'm not looking forward for the chance to read it.
