If you like Amish: Out of Order, Then read Temptation

Hi guys!! This week we have Crystal from Get Lost In Fiction sharing in our lovely segment If you liked this, Read that. Let's what she has in stored for us.

Hello All, so I like a lot of documentaries and recently became obsessed with the Amish community. The show Amish out of order that comes on The National Geographic Channel, which is not one of the fake ones by the way, it's the perfect show to watch if you’re intrigued by their community.

This show follows a group of young Amish kids that are exploring their freedom by leaving the Amish community and living with the “English”. The show follows them having to get job, their fascination with cars, and what it’s like to be ex-communicated from everything they've ever known. This show is a great documentary. It doesn't glorify the community, it doesn't just let them talk; it shows how their life really is. It deals death, drugs, and love. I have the perfect book that complements this show.

Title: Temptation
Author: Karen Ann Hopkins
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Release Date: June 26, 2012

After watching this show I discovered a book titled Temptation by Karen Ann Hopkins that shows forbidden love in the Amish community. He’s Amish and she is not, what consequences will their love bring. This book answers a lot of question about the Amish community, what’s it’s like to be a teen, how they view outsiders, their views, and just the generally way they live life.

If you are a fascinated by the Amish community or this was your first introduction into the culture than
Temptation is the perfect book.

Review
When I heard about this book all I heard was Amish + End of the world + Evil Vampires, it all screamed to me READ ME LIL BERRY READ ME NOW. And how right it was, this book is dark, gory and not something I would call Young Adult, it can fall under that category but I feel that readers that enjoy adult books will enjoy it too, it's one of those book that has a little something for everyone.
I laughed, almost cried and bite my nails with this book, honestly, Laura Bickle is such a tease and an excellent writer. She got me all jumpy, all excited, kinda stressed out (the good kind) for something to happened  yes she toyed with me and my feelings but I liked it, it made me feel more a part of the story, more of a secret accomplice to Katie and Alex then an spectator.
Highly recommend this book, and for those fans of this book, it is official this is now a series and we can expect the second book "The Outside" sometime in 2013.
If you would like to know more about the book please let me know, I could talk about this book for hours.
