Review
The Prince by Kiera Cass was a short story I had been expecting with equal and at time more excitement then The Elite, why? I mean do you really need to ask why!?! It because of whose point of view it is MAXON!!!
We had only known him based on his interactions with America and what the other girls from The Selection murmured throughout the book, but honestly when you read about a guys like this you really really really want to know what makes him tick.
This short story showed parts of Maxon’s life that we might have thought to be perfect, but where seriously lacking, the King for example was an unwelcome surprise, I don’t know why he is the way he is nor how it is going to affect the Elite nor The One. Yet it does explain some of the reactions we get from Maxon.
I really liked the fact that we were getting to know the swoon guy from The Selection, but there was really no sense of satisfaction on the timeline Kiera Cass decided to center the story around.
There where A LOT of interactions between America and Maxon that I wanted to see it through his eyes, some loops from Americas side that I wanted filled, sadly that did not happened, so I guess the rating this book gets is because I feel the reader doesn’t get all the answers we hoped, yet it was entertaining getting to see a bit of Maxon’s life.
