Review
This book, it is not the type of books that I normally read but someone pointed out that my reading diet was not balanced and so I’ve decided to take more chances, so expect some variety every now and again guys.
The narrator uses an appropriate tone through the book, she doesn’t sound all stuck up, she sounds reachable and human. When I say human I mean she lets you feel the vulnerability that the author felt when she opens up to the readers/listeners. So if I saw a book narrated by Lauren Fortgang it wouldn’t feel that much of a risk picking it up.
I LOVED this book, I usually shy away from this type of book because the specialist usually talk of the subject as if they are not affected by it. Not on this one, Brené becomes involved with the subject she shows you her ups and downs and how she and others are affected.
Brené makes it perfectly clear that this is not a how to book, nor a short guide to happiness. She attest to the work she had to put on and how it is not finished. I like that there where examples given and that the chapters where focused and really easy to digest, so you don't get lost and you are left whit a great message and the tools to start your own journey into wholehearted living.
