What Addison Coleman thought to be just a decision that teens and kids have to go through when their parents decide to get a divorce turns into a journey down the two paths that have now forcefully opened before her. As a searcher Addison has the gift to see the options that are opening before her, if she ever wonders "What if?" all she had to do is take a pick and she could see the possible outcome for each path.
Now she must decide between her "Persuasive" mother that decides to stay in the compound and her father who wants to leave and explore the life outside of it.
While Addison searches her possible realities she will discover there will be though choices she has to make and may find herself forced to choose between the people she cares about to the point of asking herself who she can and can’t live without.
Review
Pivot Point is a story that starts with a very simple premise, Addison's parents are getting a divorce and now this girl that can see into the future must decide with which of her parents she wants to live after the divorce. Truth be told I was half expecting a whiny teenager trying to decide who she liked best, her mommy or her daddy. What I found in this story was so much more, which made me glad to see this book only had a pretty cover but story and a good narration from Addison’s point of view.
The paths that Addison goes through are different but the story or shall we call it the big picture that Kasie West was painting are related, revealing more clues not only who the characters are but also on everything that seems to be happening behind the scenes.
One of the things I enjoyed the most about this book was that I am used to liking or hating characters from the beginning but then change my opinion about them, with this characters I just felt that thing could shift at any moment so they kept me in my toes with an open mind waiting and trying to be neutral until the story progressed some more.
I really liked Pivot Point it was so easy to dip into this story, but at the same time it was hard to put it down, I didn't want to miss the little clues this book was giving me, so it was really hard to put it down.
