Review
I was really excited to read Neophyte, the way the story starts and all the mysteries surrounding Addisyn's life plus the romantic side of the story made me want to get lost in it, but then the story took some turns where that I wasn't convinced it was written by the same person.
Greysan as the love interest I found him lacking, he is a man that is haunted by his past and is also really protective about Addisyn, but there is something in his demeanor that doesn't match those characteristics. For a man with his past and him trying to figure things out he laughs a lot and that takes away from his personality and my liking.
I really don't know what to think about this book, there are parts the authors shows the potential she and this book have and makes you laugh, cry and really feel for the characters. Then suddenly you don't know what happened to that person and you are just as lost as Addisyn trying to discover why she is special, but we never get to know why, why Addisyn doesn't trust her fellow angels even thought they prove they care for her and want to protect her.
I wouldn't ruled out Emmalee Aple because of how this book turned out, she showed that she can bring big and great moments in her story, now she needs to work tying the rest of the story with those moments and making her characters more real in their actions and demeanor.
