Synopsis
Val is a girl that keeps her word, even if it was a in the spurt of the moment and not well thought, and now she is working for Alejandro until the Encyclopedia Magika that was stolen is found. That and keeping Lola from getting her way with Shade should be enough, yeah I thought so too... but you see the keeper from the Encyclopedia has come to take the books back and start working again and well... there is some friction between the two of them because Val can't shake the feeling that there is something wrong with the guardian and the guardian isn't the sharing kind of guy so there is a lot of mysteries about his past and who he is.
Val will have to decide if she will stick to her gut feeling and try to find the books before anyone else does, or play nice and cooperate with the mysterious keeper of the books.
Review
I love when you see an author grow, and we finally get to see it on this book, after the awkwardness from the second book Parker Blue decides to strike us with a story that now flows more naturally and it's easier for me to picture the whole thing in our heads, we get to see character development and this story just keeps you wanting to read more until suddenly the book ends and you start wondering when the next book is coming out and hoping that the growth of the Demon Underground series continues to move forward and never looks back.
